Doctor Robert DePalma, affectionately known as Doc, has been performing root canal therapy in Delray Beach for over 35 years. After receiving his doctorate in dentistry from West Virginia University in 1968, Doctor Robert DePalma joined the staffs of St. Mary’s Hospital and Orange Memorial Hospital, both in Orange, New Jersey as well as Saint Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, New Jersey and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey. Doctor Robert DePalma, or Doc, has completed his residency in Endodontics at New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry in 1970. During his residency program, Doctor DePalma assisted in surgical procedures at Martland Hospital in Newark, New Jersey under the direction of his uncle, Anthony F. DePalma, M.D., who was then Chief Surgeon and head of the Department of Orthopedics.
Doctor DePalma has performed well over 20,000 Endodontic procedures over the past 35+ years and is one of the few Endodontists experienced in the use of osseous bone grafts in Endodontic surgery. Doctor DePalma has taught Endodontics at New Jersey College of Medicine and Dentistry and is the author of 40 scientific articles on the subject of root canal therapy, Endodontics, and Endodontic surgery. Doctor DePalma has been a member of the Boca Raton Hospital staff since 1972 and is a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and a fellow of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics.
